User Experience designers

At Conflux, we have adopted a training process to select and help grow the best User Experience designers.

With a mix of experience in the marketplace and university teaching, we are able to support UX talent in their growth as highly skilled industry professionals while ensuring their validity and effectiveness in client work.

We perform a rigorous selection process in order to find promising UX talents, with the aim of launching their careers in the world of user experience design.

The identified talent attends a programme that is funded by Conflux by means of internal scholarships. Within the programme, the designers are trained by experts in the field and by our designers and researchers, and then progressively join the design team, participating and contributing to the projects that are carried out for customers by assisting in both research and design activities in the field of user experience and user interface design.

Growth and Professionalism

The training of UX talents is continuous along the entire user path. Throughout the process, Conflux takes care of the professional growth of each trainee, defining objectives as well as formal and informal training opportunities and monitoring progress.

UX Academy is, therefore, divided into steps:

Selection

Designers are selected based on a mix of skills, ranging from their academic background, to the sensitivity and talent shown in their projects and during their previous experiences.

In addition to their skills as designers, candidates are also selected for their ability to communicate their work to both their colleagues and clients, as this is an indispensable skill in managing certain phases of the design process with clients and stakeholders.

Our goal is to train highly specialised designers who are capable of creating user-centered design solutions.

Criteria

We believe strongly in providing talents with a valuable and challenging training path that includes:

  • 1. Investing in the candidates by financing their training, which lasts about 6 months
  • 2. During the course, the selected talent is placed within an ad hoc design team, where they can be followed by mentors as they work and are equipped with everything they need to work at a professional level, including a MacBook Pro and dedicated software such as Sketch/Adobe XD, in addition to all the essential tools to design digital products and services.

Projects created for clients

During the course, the designers first work on exercises that are based on real projects and are then progressively included in our team of designers, so as to take part in real projects for our clients. The aim is to enrich their portfolio, applying the processes and methods defined and learned during their training.

Writing and public speaking

Each talent selected for the training course is also asked to write an article on a specific topic within the field of user experience that is defined during the course. The articles are then published and promoted on our blog and shared with the industry community.

This step is set up within the course so that each designer knows how to speak about their work in public and present their project with confidence in front of colleagues and project stakeholders.
